Itinerary

Day One:

  • Round trip shuttle from Munich International Airport to hotel.

Round-Trip airport transfer from Munich International Airpot to Hotel Europa and 2 PM check-in to hotel.

  • Lunch in hotel.

  • Team training at 3 PM.

  • Dinner and Bike Tour of Munich at 6 PM.

Get to know Munich on a bike with a 4-hour guided tour. Meet at Marienplatz 15 next to the Spielzeugmuseum. Here, you will be introduced to your guide and other group members, get acquainted, and hear you about the amazing history of Munich and the buildings closest to that part of the Old Town.

After about 15 minutes, walk up the street to a garage location to get your bike. Once you are ready to roll, head out on the city, stopping at the iconic old town, discovering the English Garden, watching the Isar River surfers, and much more. About 2 hours into the tour, stop for a break in Munich’s most popular beer garden.

Here you will have a chance to eat, drink, and socialize for about an hour before carrying on with the rest of the tour.

Day Two:

  • Breakfast in hotel at 8 AM.

  • FC Bayern München Football and Allianz Arena Tour at 10 AM.

On this football tour, see the most important sights of Munich and visit the training-grounds of FC Bayern München and the most modern stadium in Europe, the Allianz Arena.

The Allianz Arena, the temple of football in the north of Munich, is the third home of the long-standing football club Bayern München – after the Grünwalder and Olympic Stadiums – and certainly the most spectacular. After the stadium tour, enjoy the opportunity to immerse yourself in the FC Bayern Experience, an exhibition exploring the history of the championship record-holders. Discover cups, players and curiosities dating back over 110 years to the foundation of the club.

On match days, there will be a visit the Olympic Park instead of the Arena.

  • Lunch after tour.

  • Watch a professional team training at 3 PM*

  • Team game at 7 PM.

  • Dinner after game.

Day Three:

  • Breakfast in hotel at 7 AM.

  • Day Trip to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles at 8 AM.

Enjoy a 10 hour tour of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Castles. In the seclusion of the mountains, King Ludwig II of Bavaria built 2 of his dream-castles: Neuschwanstein and Linderhof.

This trip from Munich in a luxury air-conditioned tour-bus will allow you to visit these two important examples of western architecture. Neuschwanstein Castle, in its stunning position in the foothills of the Alps, is also one of the most impressive sights in Germany.

Here you will have around 4 hours to explore comfortably every fascinating detail. Linderhof is the only castle that Ludwig the II managed to complete. Around noon you will take a rest at Hohenschwangau Castle, Ludwig’s childhood home, for lunch (not included).

In addition, you will stop for a short time in Oberammergau, for the opportunity to photograph this picturesque little town and its environs, and to do a little shopping.

  • Lunch while on tour.

  • Dinner in city.

Day Four:

  • Breakfast in hotel at 8 AM.

  • Dachau Concentration Camp Half-Day Tour at 9 AM.

Soon after the Nazis took power, the Reichsführer SS (Heinrich Himmler) ordered the construction of Dachau to serve as a special prison for political, and later social and ethnic, enemies of Nazi Germany. By the time American soldiers liberated the camp in 1945, more than 32,000 people had lost their lives to the camp’s deadly conditions and the guards brutality.

Take a 3-hour guided tour of the camp with professional guides who are authorized to provide the tour within the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, something that very few guides in the business receive permission to do. During the visit, you will see the Jourhaus, where prisoners first entered the camp and passed through the gate cast with the now infamous words “Arbeit Macht Frei” – Work Will Set You Free.

Continue to the shuntroom, where prisoners were registered and given a number as their new identity. You will also see the barracks and Roll Call Square, where the fate of the prisoners was decided twice a day, and later, the crematorium and gas chambers.

  • Lunch at 1:30 PM.

  • Team game at 6 PM.

  • Dinner after game.

Day Five:

  • Breakfast in hotel at 8 AM.

  • Team training at 10 AM.

  • Lunch at 1:30 PM.

  • Watch a professional football match*

Saturday only depending on league schedule (possible teams include FC Bayern München, FC Augsburg, FC Ingolstadt 04 or TSV 1860 München)*.

  • Dinner after game.

Day Six:

  • Breakfast in hotel.

  • Check-out of hotel and shuttle transportation to  Airport.

I just returned from the Munich soccer tour with my 15 year old son and his team. I cannot say enough about the experience. Matthew and his team were our embassadors of German culture as we toured Munich and Bavaria. It was a perfect balance of soccer and culture! The team got to play soccer, train with different coaches, watch professional players train and play and we.got a behind the scenes tour of Allianz Arena where Bayern Munchen plays. In addition Matthew organized excellent tours and experiences so we could learn about the history and culture of the area. The accommodations were perfect and the food was excellent German cuisine that even the pickiest American eater could enjoy. I would love to go on another tour put together by Soul of Soccer!

I am a parent with a Maryland Rush U16 team. We visited Munich June of 2019 and had an absolutely fantastic time. All was delivered as promised (with the exception of a Bayern game since the Bundisliga was in off season but we did get to see a FC Nurenburg game in a small local stadium which was a real treat!). Matthew and his wife were with us he entire trip. Each added so much with their knowledge, experience and “joie de vivre” and were the true gems of this trip that took everything to another level. They took care of every concern and made it such that all any of us had to worry about was where to be and when. If you are thinking of embarking on a soccer themed trip for yourself or your team I highly recommend Soul of Soccer.

I am a big FC Bayern fan and finial saw a game live with my team was just fantastic. This tour felt very relaxed, and yet I felt l experienced the most I could from the beautiful Munich countryside, city and culture. It covered everything I wanted to see and more. Beautiful castle, watching FC Bayern team training, food and loaded with history. Such a wonderful adventure and team tour.
Thank you Soul of soccer for putting the tour together for my U14 boys team and we look forward to our next team tour with you guys soon.
